Holliday Thompson
Holliday Thompson grew up in Denver Colorado in a very artistic and creative family. Both of her parents were artists who nurtured her artistic spirit by encouraging her to draw and paint, daydream, sew, build wooden boats, and see beauty in almost everything. Later with a degree in graphic design and illustration from Colorado Institute of Art she became an illustrator.
Holli’s illustrations, used in children’s publications, calendars, books and cards are filled with color, humor and movement and are created either in colored pencil or gouache.
Over the last 20 years Holli has also developed a passion for the tactile and colorful art of Sculptural Papier Mache Clay. She loves the hands on process of working with recycled paper, additives and found objects. Her masks, vessels and wall art hang in many private collections and she continues to explore this medium of many possibilities.
